Failure In Marriages in today’s world has been a mysteries yet unsolved to the world, it has not been fixed or resolved, and people wonder and ask this very question: why do marriages fail? What is happening? The world cannot explain this, is it that there is no more love in the world? Many marry for years and all of a sudden they divorce, why? Is it that the compatibility they once had suddenly vanished? What is happening? The world is failing and things are falling apart on this very issue because the devil has hijacked the marriage system and he regulates it.
God has been taken off the scene. He is no longer seen as the center of marriage, the minds of people have been influenced by the non Christian ideologies, developments, principles and marriage is no longer seen as sacred and blessed as God made it from the beginning. It has lost its original value. Divorce is now seen as normal to the world, there is now pride in divorce, many even marry on contract and the younger generation is watching and they would follow after what they see. The love and understanding that brought people together in holy matrimony suddenly begins to fail because Satan is working very hard and pulling his strings perverting the hearts of people. This puzzle on marriage and divorce can only be sorted out in the scriptures (God’s word).

God instituted marriage and blessed it, He never instituted divorce, and divorce is a strategy of the devil to bring down God’s standard.
“I hate divorce,” says the LORD God of Israel, “and I hate a man’s covering himself with violence as well as with his garment,” says the LORD Almighty. So guard yourself in your spirit, and do not break faith.
Malachi 2:16(NIV).
God said it clearly that He hates divorce because it was never in his plan. He is not the initiator but the devil is. God instituted marriage for love and for family but Satan is taking the minds of people away from the fact that God made marriage to be enjoyed and last forever not to be tried out for any reason. Many will say that God said in the Old Testament and that is not applicable to the modern world. We say we have our right and will to opinions forgetting the fact that marriage was the will of God and only God has the final say on this.
People tend to bend God’s laws to suit themselves even the so-called Christians today fail in this issue because Satan has encapsulated the mind and the system of the world. Believers ought to beware and look back on what God said as regards marriage and divorce. God’s word is final and marriage was the first institute initiated by God and this particular institute has no graduation date except death.
But to the married I give instructions, not I, but the Lord, that the wife should not leave her husband (but if she does leave, she must remain unmarried, or else be reconciled to her husband), and that the husband should not divorce his wife.
1 Corinthians 7:10-11(NASB)
Paul the apostle reminded us in the New Testament bringing God’s word again on marriage that God for no reason permit divorce or separation. Moses in the Old Testament gave a law because of the pressure imposed on him by the people of old and he said a man is permitted to put away his wife only on the account of adultery (unfaithfulness) if he is not willing to forgive her and the man should therefore remain unmarried.
Nowadays the devil has invented another method of deceit; Christians no longer marry in churches because they fear to take the sacred oath of marriage before God so that when they finally get divorced they will not be held by any declaration made before God. God still holds unto His word because they never grow old.
“So they are no longer two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together let no man separate.”
Matthew 19:6(NASB)
No man has the right to separate what God has joined together. People have got to return to God’s word and stop been deceived. We can begin to change things from now.
